Smt. S. Geetha assumed charge as the MD & CEO of LIC Pension Fund Limited on 23rd April 2026. She had earlier joined the Company as Chief Investment Officer in April 2025.
A graduate in Commerce and a qualified Cost Accountant, Smt. Geetha brings over three decades of rich and diverse experience in the financial services sector. She joined Life Insurance Corporation of India as a Direct Recruit Officer in 1991 and has since held a wide range of leadership roles across operations, finance, investments and marketing.
She has served across nine branches in the Tanjore and Chennai Divisions, including leadership roles in three branches. Her extensive administrative experience includes heading key functional areas such as New Business Underwriting, Finance & Accounts, Estates & Office Services and Claims at the Divisional level in Nellore and Chennai.
At the Central Office of LIC, she has been associated with the Investment Front Office, gaining deep expertise in investment management. From 2021 to 2024, she headed the Fund Management team for ULIP, Pension, and Group Scheme funds, where she played a pivotal role in ensuring full compliance with IRDAI Investment Guidelines across all managed funds.
She has also contributed significantly to strengthening organisational visibility and outreach during her tenure in Corporate Communications at the Southern Zonal Office, where she enhanced engagement across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. As Regional Manager (New Business & Actuarial) in Chennai, she was instrumental in driving the adoption of LIC’s digital new business application among the field force.
As MD & CEO of LIC Pension Fund Limited, Smt. Geetha is focused on strengthening the Company’s position as the subscriber’s preferred Pension Fund Manager under the National Pension System (NPS). Her key priorities include delivering consistent and strong investment performance, expanding the Company’s marketing and distribution footprint and enhancing PoP service excellence for subscribers.
She is committed to advancing LIC Pension Fund’s role in supporting India’s evolving retirement landscape and contributing towards the vision of ‘Pension for Every Indian’.
She is a trained Carnatic and Light Music Singer and had been a finalist in a famous Tamil TV Reality Show in 1999.
